Britney Talks to BBC Radio 1- LISTEN!
Britney spoke with Scott M of BBC Radio 1 (British radio for those who aren't familiar) today and gave some details on the new album Glory, what it is like in Las Vegas and whether or not if she'd headline the Super Bowl.
The 34-year-old popstar was very candid and more open than we have previously heard her in interviews.
Of her new album Glory, Spears told Mills, “It’s my best work so far I feel like. I really took the time to work with really, really great people…Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. Just amazing producers and songwriters. It was a gift. It was an amazing gift."
Talking about the creative process, she said, "It’s a very creative thing to get in and to write with people and see what you come up with. You kind of have to be very humble at times and be like ‘Okay, that was really, really bad.’ It’s fun. The whole process is really fun.”
And no there isn't going to be a Justin Bieber collaboration... "No. There is no truth to that." She then told a story of a teenage Biebs asking her during her Femme Fatale Tour where a tanning bed was... Oh to be a fly on the wall in that room!
And what about a Super Bowl halftime performance? Fans have been lobbying for one ever since Spears appeared in a commercial during the Super Bowl in 2015. Well, don't count her out! Britney said, “Yes, I would probably do that." BUT she wouldn't want to do it alone. "It would be scary". :(
Mills lastly asked her what advice she would give her younger self. The answer? Probably the most honest thing we've heard from Britney ever- "“Never get married. Number one. That’s probably the best advice I could probably give myself.”
