The Britney Game Updated After B9
Britney's hit mobile game American Dream will get an update once her ninth album aka B9 is released.
Hopefully this includes some of her Billboard Music Awards outfits from last Sunday!!
Spears talked about the game recently and how the creation of her digital self came about.
"I gave a lot of input on my character. The game's all about performing and making it in the music business. My show is a big part of that right now, so my character is wearing one of my favorite stage costumes in certain parts of the game. I wanted to make sure my hair was just right, little things like that. I was blown away when I saw the final 'digital Britney'."
Her favorite part of the game?
"There are so many things I love about the game. The art itself is just so cute and colorful and I had so much fun working with the team to put my character together. I think my favorite part is the audio that goes with my character. As you're playing the game, you'll see my character and hear my voice. I hope it gives my fans the feeling that I'm there with them."
So what about B9?
"Britney's really working on a fantastic record. I've heard about four or five songs that I think are just going to be big hits for her," RCA Records Executive Vice President/GM Joe Riccitelli said recently.
"She's found a really great groove, and she's working with some new, young producers. We have an A&R person working on the project that's just really been able to thread the needle, and I'm really excited about it… we're waiting for her to finish the album."
That A&R person- Karen Kwak. Britney recently name-dropped her when she posted a photo of a rose on Instagram with the caption, "
So who IS Karen? She is the Senior Vice President, A&R Operations, Office if the Chairman for The Island Def Jam Music Group. She works directly with Mr. LA Reid, who we all know was a judge on The X Facor with Britney. Kwak was the Senior Vice President, A&R Administration for Arista Records.
It is no surprise that Britney is taking her time with her ninth record. "I'm gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely," Brit told Billboard in March 2015. "There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I'm gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now." Add in Piece of Me and teaching dance in LA to her already-busy life, and Brit's plate is full. No wonder she's taking things slow.
